Our mission
CARE works around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice.
Our vision
We seek a world of hope, tolerance and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and all people live with dignity and security.
Our focus
We put women and girls in the centre because we know that we cannot overcome poverty until all people have equal rights and opportunities.
How do we achieve our mission?
Our work, approach and goals are defined by the CARE Australia Strategy 2019+. To redefine our role as part of a global movement to address poverty and social injustice, we’ve developed a global CARE 2020 Program Strategy. This strategy describes the changes we want to see in the world and our role in bringing about those changes, read our progress so far towards these changes.
How do we know we are achieving our mission?
CARE has developed 25 Global Indicator to track our progress in key areas of our work, which are cross-referenced with the Sustainable Development Goals. See the full list at Measuring Impact.
