How can engaging with an organisation like CARE benefit your business?

Developing countries play an increasingly important role for many companies, as sources of new customers and the location of suppliers. But these countries are still marked by high levels of poverty and inequality, which can particularly impact women and girls.

CARE helps companies to invest in social and environmental issues to benefit your business and the communities you work in. We can work at all levels of your business to integrate Sustainable Development Goals into operations and develop tailored in-country initiatives, which align with corporate aims.

Sharing insight and expertise

CARE has more than 70 years of experience promoting positive change in communities. In the Asia-Pacific region, we also have decades of experience working with industries such as the garment sector, agriculture, hospitality, and construction.

We can share research, examples of successful initiatives and a deep understanding of local context to help your company choose the best way to meet your business and CSR needs.

Supply chain engagement

Our programs in countries across the Asia-Pacific region offer proven solutions to common challenges within supply chains, with a particular focus on issues affecting working women.

With the introduction of Australia’s Modern Slavery Act in 2019, investors, consumers and the media will be increasingly focused on how companies are improving working conditions within their supply chains.

We have developed effective ways to improve worker wellbeing and supported employers to adopt best practice approaches in formal and informal settings. We can tailor our existing models to new sectors or locations, or we can work together with you to develop new solutions to emerging challenges.

Joint advocacy & leadership

We believe partnerships should be based on shared goals and values. Companies large and small can play a key role in shaping the priorities of their industry, bringing about positive change through advocacy and proactive leadership on key issues.

We can work with you to find the most appropriate ways of influencing change, whether through opportunities to speak out as part of public campaigns or facilitating introductions and advisory support on-the-ground in project locations.
